I've been a veterinarian for 15 years and can hand on my heart say that my experience with Sunset Pets when it came to say goodbye to my own dog was the best I have ever seen.
The care and compassion Ben and the team showed me and my family made a really hard time a little bit easier. They were super responsive and flexible, allowing us to make decisions needed to in our own time.
The appointment itself was gentle and peaceful, our beloved family dog felt no pain or distress. The whole family, including our other dog were able to be present with him in our home as he passed. A good death is the last act of love we can give our pets and Sunset Pets helped us to be able to do that for our boy.

A wonderful service to help people in a very difficult time, after being recommended to me by a friend I recently used sunset pets to help with my sick cat. They were calm professional and incredibly kind, came out same day to assist me and help give my cat a calm dignified death. Were able to take and store my cat until the cremation team could take him sent me a beautiful card and with nose and paw prints, Ben and Crystal I can't thankyou enough for the kindness, compassion and service you provided during one of the hardest days of my life. Holy moly, where do I begin with Ben.
Ella was what I called my soul dog, I lost her to a brain tumour causing reoccuring seizures at 11.5 years old. She had a hell of a life! Was always by my side, never out of sight, and forever on my mind. My first baby. Ben came to my home as I was lucky enough to get her stable to do so, after spending a night in ICU heavily medicated. It was less than a 24hr period from meeting Ben to having him there with me and my family in Ella's last moments of her life. I said to my Fiancé "we need to keep her good until Ben can come, I don't want anyone else to do it" he agreed and that's what we did.
From the moment I met Ben I knew he had mine and Ella's best interest at heart.
When going over her options, there was no pressure, well explained solutions, all options laid out, with time to process, all of which were filled with the kindest words, knowing the position we were in. The entire process from start to finish, was kind, caring, thoughtful, and the after period was much the same. All of the paperwork for her cremation was arranged, as well as drop off and I had her back to me within 2 weeks - back at home watching over her family.
I'm so glad I chose Ben to send my girl over the rainbow bridge. In a time like this, all you need is support and Ben did that, with the utmost respect and kind heart.

I knew I didn’t want to say goodbye to my cat when he was at the vet as he would be stressed and scared. I heard about Sunset Pets and knew that was the way I wanted to go.

One of life's hard choices is when to put your beloved pet to sleep. Sometimes we can have the sense that it's coming when they are loosing their quality of life, other times it can be made from circumstances beyond our control. Whatever the reason having Ben come to my home to put my old girl to sleep was incredibly comforting whilst dealing with the grief. Knowing she left with dignity, peace and from the comfort of her home made an awfully hard decision better to come to terms with.
